Project Description

The IRECOP Access Road Project, undertaken by Abeikumah Construction & Electrical Engineering Company LTD, involved the construction of a vital access road to the Regional Integrated Recycling and Compost Plant (IRECOP) in Koforidua, in 2021. This project was essential in improving the infrastructure and ensuring efficient transportation to the recycling plant. 

This project showcased excellence through meticulous phases, including land clearing, topsoil excavation, formation cutting, compaction, the construction of double 1200mm pipe culverts, and formation filling.

Important Project Checklist

  • Land Clearing: Removal of vegetation and debris to prepare the site.
  • Topsoil Excavation: Digging and removing the top layer of soil for a stable base.
  • Formation Cutting: Shaping the ground to the required level and slope.
  • Compaction: Compacting the soil to provide a solid foundation.
  • Double 1200mm Pipe Culvert Construction: Installing culverts for drainage and water flow management.
  • Filling to Formation: Adding and leveling fill material to achieve the desired formation.
